74 rue de Clichy This flat is located in a beautiful building, and its interior features ancient wood beams and gorgeous hardwood floors. Stylishly decorated by its owners, this apartment boasts a well- equipped kitchen, comfortable double bed and plenty of bathroom space will ensure that your busy day in Paris ends with a comfortable evening. Enjoy lots of closet space, a large living room and a bustling neighborhood. The living room invites you to sit and take a break from the busy day while reading a book and imagining what days must have been like in Paris during the mid-19th century. Even better, you can quickly step back into the present and enjoy the same modern conveniences you would find in your own home - television, DVD player and a stereo. Please note: This apartment is located on the street side of the building and you will hear street noise from the apartment.
In the Neighborhood If you like to explore, this apartment is the place to be! This apartment is lucky enough to sit on the edge of three neighborhoods – the 9th, 17th and 18th. Just across Place de Clichy and to the west is the 17th, which was featured in a June 2006 article in The New York Times, highlighting it's villiage-like area known as Les Batignolles. You'll also find several outdoor markets here, including the organic market on Saturdays on Blvd. de Batignolles. In the other direction is the 18th, home to Sacré Coeur and the Montmartre area. Get your "foodie" fill shopping along rue Lepic, grab a bite to eat in one of many adorable cafés and explore the galleries and boutiques in the area that was made famous by some of the most famous writers and artists in history. And, of course, Montmartre most recently served as the backdrop for the popular movie "Amelie." The apartment technically calls the 9th home, where neighborhood eateries and shops abound. And, of course, just south in the 9th is the opulent Opéra Garnier and plenty of shopping at Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. And don't forget to visit rue des Martyrs, the fabulous market street, deliciously highlighted in a recent New York Times travel feature.
